One funky tune

This is just a quick tunecast. About one year ago, while standing around in en-vouge kinda department store, I picked up this mildly familiar tune seeping from the sound system. I searched for a speaker, and positioned myself below the sound hole. And what did I pick up? I caught “Been caught stealing”, originally from
Janes Addication, being done over by some funky outfit. Man, this was some smooth work. Moog bass, some serious brass and brilliant, lazy drums; the most brilliant bridge – goes right to the legs. Anyways… I sucked up the song and approached the outfitted lady. She was useless. Didn’t have a clue. Right. So when I was back at the headquarters, I went searching. And what do you know: this is a Canadian setup by the name of
Jacksoul . Took me a while to get my hands on the album “My Soul”, and although the rest of the album works well, this is
IMHO the killer track. I just fell over the song a minute ago, and thought I should spread the shmoove. Be careful with this track: this is one mean peace of funk. Do not listen in closed rooms filled with breakable expensive stuff.
Just as a side note: the singer of the Band
Haydain Neale had a pretty serious car accident last year. You might want to drop by his website and show some support.
