Exploding sky electronica
January 02, 2009 14:20 (about 3 years ago)
What a dramatic ending of 2008… we spent the evening in Cologne, along side of the Rhine. It was a war zone; in a country where every hillbilly can equip himself with mean firecracking mechanics, it is easy to spend the last minutes of the year in a colorful danger zone. As the year approached its edge I was caught between the urge to run for shelter (as, of the roughly 5000 firecraking maniacs within range, a large proportion lights the units at the wrong end) and the awefying effect of an exploding sky. Naturally, we mutated to maniacs ourselves, as soon as the really bad stuff was over. Solid evening…. anyways. My new year resolutions could be summarized, somewhat coarse, as the attempt to become a better person. 2008 was a high-speed, decision driven year, with dismal bits and pieces here and there. Appropriately, the audio to this post is fast paced, slightly gloomy and has got an attitude issue. The massive electronica of
Justice is a late addition to my repertoire but certainly has a great spin. I bring you the second track of their 2006 Album
Cross entitled “Let there be light” (naturally without any religious connotation intended). I recommend enjoying this fuzz with masters at 75% min.
Welcome to the new one, everybody.
